Flow-Activity-Directives:
Take YOUR Time and…
1st- prepare your designated quiet and clean seating area in a space you feel comfortable in and will not be disturbed for at least 20 minutes, light candle on table/stool at eye level when seated
2nd- prepare your hot tea/water in silence and gather your journal, writing utensil, and planner; play optional corresponding audio if you choose
3rd- seat yourself comfortably, holding your hot tea/water in both hands; close your eyes and breath in the aromatic, warm and moist air surrounding your teacup, physical body and immediate space (~5 deep breaths, inhale through nose, exhale through mouth). open your eyes, rest your cup in a secure space within reach
4th- focus on the tip of the candle flame without blinking until you feel you simply must blink then close your eyes and witness the flame reflection until it disappears. Open your eyes and repeat up to 4 more times/ 5 minutes total.
5th- check in (toe to head) with your body and relax any part of you that is not necessary to hold your position.
6th- set intention. move your awareness to your Inner Self, your mind with influence of Spirit. Request the guidance of and support from your Higher Self/ Source/ Higher Power.
Ask yourself,
what areas of wellness could benefit from more TLC (KLH- knowledge, love and healing)?
how can I best honor and care for myself in this area?
what are possible challenges might I encounter?
how can I overcome them?
7th- as you sip your tea anticipate and expect to receive insight and guidance. Sip until tea is gone. It’s okay if nothing comes to you. Expect to progress forward knowing the guidance and insight you seek is on its way to you and will soon be revealed (in due time). Savor the flavor.
8th- Jot down in your journal any thoughts and insights that still linger or have stuck with you. You know what you require to know-love-healthy self. Spend desired amount of time or set a goal of so many pages to journal your thoughts and whatever comes to mind. Journal any insights you may have gained through this practice. 10 minutes suggested.
9th- close your eyes and envision what your life (and the lives of those you love) would be like when you are properly and best cared for, for your desired amount of time. 5 minutes suggested.
10th- in your planner set a date and time to set your self care action plan. Plan and share with a friend (or us, because we care).
